Recent ActivityWelcome to the West Bend Joint School District #1 Technology Services department.
The members of the department are ready to provide solutions for all district related hardware, software, network, and service needs. Currently, the department maintains approximately 3000 computers across 12 physical sites. The district buildings are connected via a fiber optic network at all locations except Jackson Elementary and the Maintenance Shop. The district has standardized on Windows applications at both the desktop and network levels. However, Macs have recently been introduced in a limited way for video purposes at all school locations along with Ipads and Ipods for specific Apps. Both students and staff have access to desktops or laptops. The current replacement cycle for end users machines is approximated at 7 years. Students are responsible for learning and applying the Wisconsin Information and Technology Literacy Standards as a part of their classwork.
